I applied to Macaulay at Brooklyn as my first choice and I believe I listed Hunter as my second. I listed 4 schools in total on my application (2 for Macaulay, 2 for general admission)
i actually already registered i thought it was gonna say more but i was wrong haha
okay I did too!! I was just unsure if I should do it now or wait until I hear from them about decisions on Monday
Hey! I also interviewed for John Jay Macaulay but I think mine was early Feb. Macaulay is my top choice so Iâm really hoping!! Have you heard anything about Macaulay specifically at John Jay? I also got in for regular admission:)
so does that mean if you put queens college at your second choice and you didnât hear back anything from them then u got your first choice?
I donât think it necessarily means you got in, but Iâd assume it means youâll get your decision letter from your top choice. Best of luck!!
Thank you!! Also saw you got in for Brooklyn College !! Congrats!!!
Iâm not sure if itâs official, I guess weâll see Monday (may have just been a system glitch or something) but I appreciate it, thank you!! I hope everything goes well for you and you get into your top choice!
Same for you!!!:)))
FYI on the Macaulay website (Acceptance Letters Will Be Sent March 22 | Macaulay Honors College) it says âAcceptance letters will be sent on March 22 (times vary by campus, and Queens College sent acceptances on March 15th).â So to all who were accepted to Macaulay at Queens-- itâs official!!
so does that mean they also sent out rejections for macaulay queens?
I applied to Baruch but havenât gotten an official acceptance letter or email. I do have a financial aid award but I never got an interview for Macaulay through them. Could this maybe mean I got into Macaulay but the fin aid/admissions team just messed up? Has anyone else had the same experience as me?
no. you will be notified of your decision by Macaulay on Monday - march 22. contact baruch
Congrats on the scholarship ! What time diid you receive your email? I just wanna be as prepared as possible.
My daughter applied to Macaulay (CCNY and Hunter). She had difficulty with the portal and had pretty much given up and then received a notification that she had been accepted into Hunter and CCNY (I am unsure how, but I assume email as she, last I asked, had not been on the Macaulay portal).
I have been following this thread and saw, for example, Queens College released results a week early and, in general, there seems to be a lot of uncertainty about what is happening and what is suppose to happen.
On the one hand, this seems a bit (for wonât of a better word) âamateurishâ compared to, say MIT . . . or SUNY Binghamton . . . and reinforces some of the research done before applying; but, it is also appealing (in a weird way), as it seems the only college on her list that will apparently require high levels of initiative, resilience and self-advocacy. Important traits, these are.
Curious if any other parents (or potential students) are looking at it this way.
Thank you. I got the letter at 12:02 AM on 3/15. Good luck!
she got into macaulay for them or just general admission?
Just general admission.
I agree it seems disorganized. I did hear from friends that in past years colleges have been known to mistakenly send out acceptance letters only to recind them saying it was a mistake. So maybe itâs something (an annoying unprofessional something) that happens from time to time.
Kind of. If Queens was your top choice you likely would have gotten an acceptance or rejection from them, if not Iâd expect to hear back from your top choice on Monday. Youâll only get results from one school. :))
