I have an interview for Macaulay honors college at Hunter coming up, and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what they ask or any advice?
When did you find about the interview? And have you received decisions for regular CUNY yet? I thought they hadn’t started sending them out yet
I found out about the interview mid January, and I didn’t apply to any regular CUNY, only Macalauy.

No you don’t
Yes you do. When you applied for Macaulay, you applied to a CUNY school. You must be accepted to one of the eight CUNY campus (those with the Macaulay program: Baruch College, Brooklyn, City, Hunter, John Jay, Lehman, Queens, College of Staten Island) before being accepted as a University scholar.
How did you not apply to regular CUNY? I do not understand what you did.
When you apply to Macaulay you pick a CUNY campus, it’s different than applying to just that school regularly.
Do note that the Macaulay application covers both regular and the Honors College. There is no need to apply twice.
- You will be notified of your admission decision as a General Freshman to CUNY by all college choices listed in your application in late February.
- You will be then notified of your admission decision for Macaulay Honors College postmarked March 15th.

My D had an interview and sat in on a class at Macauley John Jay. Is that a good sign as far as chance of acceptance? Anybody else thinking about Macauley John Jay?
