Macaulay Honors College

My friend linked me to this CUNY school called Macaulay Honors College: Macaulay Honors College -
I can't really find too much info on it because it's a new school, other than they pay for your undergraduate tuition and there's a possibility of getting a $8000 grant after you graduate. I also couldn't find it listed on college search function on this site, so I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this college, such as what one can major in.

I actually just posted questions about Macaulay and a Macaulay rep responded. You might want to check it out.
It’s not listed because it’s a CUNY honors program, not a college in its own right. You can apply to one of a certain number of colleges under its umbrella and have access to their services, and if you attend an instate high school it’s FREE!
But check my post here- it might help.

Good luck!

Thank you for your help! However, about it not being “a college in its own right,” I have read that it has acquired its own building recently because of a $30,000,000 donation from William E. Macaulay.

Macaulay Honors College is more than just a program. We are a dual degree bearing institution. In other words you receive a joint degree from Macaulay and the campus at which you are enrolled.

Macaulay campuses are very selective and make decisions based on a very holistic review of a high achieving applicant.

We offer more than 210 majors combining all the offerings at all our campuses.
Here is a grid by major that will be helpful in narrowing your choices to specific campuses: [Undergraduate Programs - Undergraduate Admissions - CUNY](http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate/explore/undergraduateprograms-1.html)

We cover FULL tuition costs for 4 years for students who have attended a NY state high school. If you are an out-of-state student, you will have tuition costs of approximately $14000 per year. ALL other benefits apply equally to ALL accepted students:

• A $7500 opportunities fund grant to support study abroad in every hemisphere and for you to engage in research
• New York City’s Cultural Passport, which gives free or discounted entry to hundreds of New York cultural institutions (museums, exhibits, Broadway Shows etc).
• Amazing connections to unpaid internships (career preparation) with leaders in government, business, science and the arts at New York’s finest firms and organizations.

Macaulay offers a personalized experience that is second to none, because each student has a personal advisor for fours that works with them to create the best possible opportunities and outcomes.

This program seems like the one for me, I think I’ll apply to the Hunter branch for chemistry major. Also, I’m going to begin Junior year soon, when would be the ideal time to apply for Macaulay Honors College?
