Macaulay Hunter vs. Stony Brook vs. Binghamton (New York schools)

I am having trouble deciding between these three schools. I plan to pursue pre-med and major in something like biochem in any of the three. I like the idea of campus life on the SUNYs but I feel like my Macaulay option is also great. I would love input from anyone who knows of these schools, thank you.

Hunter has free dorming, deff go for it.

Pre med? that would mean you need to save money as much as possible for undergrad. What matters for medical school is MCAT score and GPA. Macaulay Hunter is free so I think that’s a great! Plus Hunter is good for health sciences as well.

I’d think it depends on what your family can comfortably afford. If it were my decision and all options were affordable, I’d definitely opt for SUNY Binghamton to get the full campus experience. But you can’t make a bad decision.

To save money: Hunter
For college experience: Binghamton
Good for your major: Stony Brook

Choose the college corresponding to whichever factor you prefer. This is a very hard decision, decide wisely.

Thanks for the comments. I was initially concerned with having a college experience but I will easily give that up for a better education. Both Stony and Hunter are known for their health sciences. I think I will be able to stay focused on my work in either, but I am not sure. I am definitely leaning towards Macaulay, but I was wondering if anyone knows more about their programs and can properly compare the two. The insight I’ve received thus far is very similar. Money is not an issue with these choices (as opposed to the other colleges I got into, which are asking for the full 60k… kind of sad considering the insane work I put in during high school). I am from NYC and already know a few friends who will be attending Hunter for my major. Thanks again.
