I'm currently a junior physics student and I was thinking about getting two external monitors in my dorm room with my MBP13". I will be writing a lot of lab reports throughout this semester (once a week) and would prefer multasking. I prefer to get approximately 19-22" monitors and my desk space is approximately 3ft (1m) in length and 1.9ft (0.58m) in width. Good or bad idea? Or should I just buy one external monitor instead? My budget is within approximately $200-300, includes USB graphics adapter. Any ideas? Suggestions? Comments?

A single 22" or 24" monitor should do. If by multitasking you mean Facebook on screen 1 and Matlab on screen 2, I’d stick to one screen :-)

1 monitor. I have 2 monitors but only use them over the summer when I’m at home. In my apartment locally I use just the one because two 22-inchers take up a TON of space.
