Macroeconomics vs. psychology

Which of these two subjects should I do for my independent study (and AP test)? Both of them seem interesting to me, and since I'm not familiar with either of them, I can't really decide which to do. Since I would assume some of you here on CC have taken one or both, your feedback would be useful in helping me make that decision. Some things to consider when answering would be the relative difficulty of the AP tests, the amount of memorization required for each (since I also have AP Bio, I would love to not saddle myself with two primarily memorization-based APs, if possible), the amount of material to go over, and the level of critical/analytical thought required while learning on on the test.

macroeconomics > psychology

i got 5s on both of them but i actually took ap psych....macro u could study for about 3-4 hours without taking the class and get a 5...

Would any college perceive doing one as weaker than the other? That is, would they look more favorably on psychology than macroeconomics, or vice versa?
