This may be a silly question. . .but is my daughter's dorm room number her mailing address, or do the kids have mail box numbers?

Are there any restrictions or problems shipping boxes to students in the dorms?

I think you put both the street address shown on the letter (for the dorm I assume) as well as the room number and also the student's name as the complete address. You can send boxes to them, no problem. Although this might depend on the dorm. D called Panther Central and was told how to address the box and that her mailroom was in the downstairs of Tower B. We are sending a box with a lot of stuff in it to arrive when she does. They said they'd put a notice slip in her mail box that she'd received a box and she presents the slip to the person at the desk and they'd give her the box.

Call Panther Central and they can let you know how this works for you depending on which dorm you're in.

Her mailing address is her room number, her dorm and the address of that dorm
