Mailing School Forms

I have an important question on how should I send my (not-online) school forms.

Is there any problem if my counselor gives me all the school forms (teacher evaluations, Secondary school report etc.) in an envelope so that I can mail them?

Also, is there any way that I can send them by a courier to the universities that have a P.O. Box (I don't really trust the post office)? And if my mail is lost (while sending it by post office) how can I prove to the colleges that I sent the school forms before the deadline?

Thank you for your assistance!

Yes, it's perfectly fine to mail in the forms separate from the application and its supplement.

Relax, even if it gets lost they will let you know that they are missing something. They won't just throw your app out.

Probably better to give the counselor a pre-addressed, stamped envelope and have him/her do the mailing, if you can -- but either way will work out ok. But also, ask the counselor to make copies of everything and keep them on file. That way, if they do get lost in transit, it's easy to get them resent.

As to getting them there, trust the Post Office. Courier services and other "special" delivery methods will cause hassles for the admissions folks. You could send it with tracking (but not signature confirmation) if you're really nervous, but there's no need. As roxlo indicated, if something is missing, the college will contact you. And the deadline is for submission of your application, not for the postmark on school forms -- you won't have to prove that they were sent before the deadline.

Thank you very much both of you! I just didn't mention that I am international and that's why I don't trust the post office and I prefer the courier!
