Uh hi…I was wondering if it were possible to major in Brioche and minor in computer science and math. I love math and I am curious about computer science. And I adore and love sciences…so yeah…just curious if it were possible to Major in Biochem and minor in math and comp science…eh thank you who ever answers this…
Theoretically, yes. But you’d need to check with specific schools of interest to know their policies and determine if it’s actually feasible.
Unless the requirements for your major/minors line up well, you might be looking at an extra half year which would cost more.
Eh I’m doing my maths and sciences together and according to my plan it’s going great so far but I was just wondering if minoring in a particular area is useful in any kind of form?
Minoring is useful because you get to learn supplemental material that might help add a different dimension or interdisciplinary nature to your study. A biochemistry major with a math and computer science minor, for example, could prepare you for work in bioinformatics, computational biology, epidemiology, biostatistics, etc. Minors can also be somewhat useful in signaling to employers that you have an area of expertise they wouldn’t otherwise assume if they just knew you were a biochemistry major.
