<p>It’s definitely possible to major in biology and minor in economics, but pre-med takes up a lot of your time. It might not be possible to do the Core, fulfill the premed requirements, the Bio major requirements, and the economics concentration/minor requirements. Instead, why not fulfill the premed requirements (which is essentially a Biology concentration/minor) and major in economics?</p>
<p>OP sounds like someone whose parents are telling them what to do. Note that OP says nothing about his interest in studying either biology or economics. Rather, he wants to hedge his bets and become either a doctor or an investment banker. What he fails is to realize is that you don’t need to major/minor in bio to become a doctor and in econ to become a banker.</p>
