Major change after submitting application

Our child already sent in the application to the UC system and a few other private schools as part of RD. I noticed that the UC schools do allow you to change your major before 1/31. What about other schools?

Any advice on if we should change major? My kid is still undecided but now leaning towards Social Sciences vs. STEM.

Some of the UC’s will let you change your major until January 15. After that date, then you cannot change until you are accepted and enrolled.

not sure which major she applied for but, unless she has a fresh passion for something totally different, I’d be inclined to leave them undeclared or as is until she’s enrolled.
