I got into cal poly pomona food science major but i have second thoughts and would like to ask anybody of his/her experience of changing to computer science major

I got into sonoma state for computer science as well

how do i make a decision?

To change to CS at Cal Poly Pomona:

Computer Science::

3.25 GPA Overall & CPP. Must have completed 3 quarters at Cal Poly.
Change of Major Requests are accepted for fall quarter only, and are subject to available space.

If you think you can maintain the required GPA for the 1st year to apply to the CS major, then I would enroll at CPP.
If not, then select Sonoma State since you got a direct admit.
