hey guys...I have an important question. I am a student at another university and I just wanna; is it possible to be a double major in business and economics and still be able to transfer to ut austin COLA? or will I have to transfer to mccombs if I have a business major? thank you in advance

If I understand your question, then in order to be an economics and business major at UT you will need to be admitted into both COLA and McComb’s even if you are already in the liberal arts and business school at your current university.

^ Seconded

thank you for the reply and I am sorry that I didn’t make my question clear…What I mean is that right now I don’t know what my gpa will be, if it is high I will apply to mccombs but if it is slightly lower I will apply to COLA. But not both, I will either go into business OR economics at UT. so what I needed to know was that is it possible to be a double major in eco and biz and then transfer to one of the two schools…or will I be missing some course requirement etc if I go into only one of them? thanks a mil

You are always in the COLA, even if you are in McCombs. You never have to transfer into COLA, it’s guaranteed if you are a student elsewhere (except UGS, but that’s just for freshmen and it’s kinda a unique program situation).

So, you can get into COLA/Econ easily but transferring into McCombs is where the challenge will be.
