Major errors in my college application?

Hi, I have made three rather major errors on my college application and submitted it. I first said that I won an award in high school when I had won it in junior high by mistake. Then I said I had won a competition in 2019 but I meant to only say I had won the competition in 2017-2018. Finally I misspelled a school name by calling it an intermediate school when it was an elementary school.

if this is not bad enough, I then emailed the admissions counselor of the school to apologize for the mistakes and to clarify the correct information, BUT I wrote “Tenth grade, freshman year” in the email in my panic and sent it.

I am deeply worried that I have just destroyed my chances of acceptance with my carelessness. The school I am applying to has automatic admission (top 6%), which I qualify for, but after submitting my application then trying to fix the mistakes then making more mistakes while trying to fix the mistake, I feel that even with automatic admission they will reject me because of my carelessness.

Is it likely that I will be rejected because of all these application errors?

Relax. You have automatic admission! Learn from this experience; you need to be more careful in the future when submitting important documents or emails. Always proofread or have somebody else proofread. If you’re tired or feeling rushed/panicked, stop and do not hit the send button until the next morning when your head is clear. Have you heard the proverb to “measuring twice, cut once?” In your case, proofread twice before sending!
