I want to know what is the best path for me. I want to become a programmer and get away from accounting.
Should I get a math major or go back to a cc for a second bachelors in cs / engineering.

To clarify, you already have a degree in accounting? Are you currently employed in that field?
No, I didn’t get my degree yet. I have a lot of units within it however.
The reason why I mention math is because there is way less courses and units than those other two majors. Would a bs of pure math be good enough to get data science, computer science, and engineering jobs.
Depending on where you go (what company), yes. My DD2 has a math degree and is doing modeling and simulation. She got that job right out of college.
You probably want to add some CS courses to a math major (probably better to go for applied math if available) if you want a data science or computing job. For data science, you also want some statistics.
But others can help you better if you described where you are and how many credit units you have completed, as well as any completed courses applicable to your new desired majors.
Don’t know you but a second bachelors is costly. I’d opt for math and teaching yourself CS. Or can you take enough CS classes with the math? Why can’t you just switch to CS without doing a second bachelors? If you have already finished your bachelors then I’d take some basic CS courses and sign up for a masters in CS.
