Major in accounting: IUB-bloomington or Ohio state?

I am a current undergraduate student of Iowa state and want to transfer to IUB or Ohio state. I am a accounting major. I saw the overall ranking is better for ohio state, but the accounting program is better in IUB. Can you give some advice?

I’d take IUB, mainly because of location (related to recruiting too).

The business school at IUB is better than that of OSU. The overall ranking is pretty irrelevant when you know you want to do business and both schools have a program. The accounting program and finance program at IUB have a definite edge over those of OSU, which makes a difference for recruiting.

I would go to IUB hands down. The only real reason I can see for choosing OSU is if you’re in-state there and IUB isn’t giving you any aid.

Thanks.
Because I think the requirement for entering IUB is kind of easy. So I doubt that why the Business college here can rank so high…

Both have strong accounting programs and are recruited for by lots of employers.

IU has an advantage when it comes to business (and specifically accounting). But if you want to change your major to something that is not business Ohio State would be better.

Both are Big 10, but while OSU is in a bigger city with a (relatively) bigger undergrad population, IU is in a smaller city with less students (but still pretty big at 32,000 undergrad).

The recruiting here is good?

Indiana’s Kelley School of Business is very highly regarded. I’d say go with Indiana unless something particularly entices you toward Ohio State.
