<p>If you are interested in both operations management and entrepreneurship you should be applying to Drexel University. Drexel rates as one of the top business schools in America for operations management and especially entrepreneurship. (just take a look at: [Top</a> 50 Entrepreneurial Colleges for 2008 ? Entrepreneur.com](<a href=“Top colleges and business schools for entrepreneurs.”>Top colleges and business schools for entrepreneurs.)). It is also very easily to double concentrate in both OPM and Entrepreneurship in the Busienss Administration Degree and many students do that. I also advise you to take a look at the Business and Engineering Degree with OPM and ENTR concentrations as it has more of a technical focus if that interests you. I’m in my third year of Drexel and absolutely love it. I can go into detail about the program but I’ll just highlight the fundamentals of why many choose Drexel that have the same mindset as you:
- Philadelphia is a great city with a lot going on all the time and even better college city
- The Co-op program is invaluable and will allow you to gain high paid and high placement six-month jobs during school. This will let you figure out what type of specific industry or concentration of business you go in.
- Its very possible that you will use an entrepreneurship focus early on in your career. Countless of Drexel students have gone on to start companies part-time while they are still students! Drexel heavily assists you with their Baida Center (eg: gives you free office space and resources to get your company started)… see [LeBow</a> : Centers of Excellence : Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship](<a href=“Home | Close School of Entrepreneurship | Drexel University”>Home | Close School of Entrepreneurship | Drexel University). They also award tens of thousands of dollars in prizes for business plans.
- Although Drexel’s entrepreneurship program is highly competitive, students usually receive huge scholarships</p>
