I am very interested in theatre and I would like to participate in their program, but I am mainly interested in their film program. Should I minor in theatre? Or could I participate in theatre at UCF without having to?
It may vary from school to school, but in my experience you don’t necessarily have to be a theatre student to participate in productions.
Personally, I recommend taking theatre courses. I majored in something totally unrelated, but took several acting courses and feel that they were personally worthwhile, even if I had no serious interest in becoming a legit actor.
