I know that Brown doesn’t have distribution requirements. But do they have major requirements?

Yes. Certain majors (like engineering) have more than others.

All students must complete at least one concentration (i.e. major), and each concentration requires some number of courses. Whether specific courses are required depends on the concentration. Math’s AB program, for instance, requires math 153, as well as some multi and linear, but lets you count any advanced math classes for the other 5 requirements. Computer Science, on the other hand, is relatively speaking more restrictive, requiring (15 and 16) or (17 and 18) or (19 and an advanced course), 3 of (22, 31, 32, and 51), and 3 advanced courses, with 2 such courses coming from a list of approved pairs. You’ll have requirements, but they may not be explicit courses, but just some from a list.
