Major similar to AP English Comp/Lang?

I'm in AP English Composition and Language this year and I LOVE it. I don't mind doing the homework, I look forward to writing the essays, and I consistently get the best scores in my class because I really get that class. I'm very good at the analytical, argumentative writing the class entails. And I genuinely enjoy it. No other class holds my attention the way that class does, no other class has "clicked" with me so much before...

It has made me do a lot of thinking about what I want to do in college. I love English, I love writing, but I have no idea what I want to major in because a lot of majors hold my interest in different ways. What majors involve a lot of writing, particularly the analytical/argumentative writing that AP English Lang requires? I seem to be very good at this type of writing, so how would those skills translate to college majors? I'm vaguely interested in law school in the future, but that will probably change a lot once I actually get to undergrad.

The good news about law school is that, with the exception of if you’re planning on becoming something like a patent lawyer or a medical malpractice lawyer - specific disciplines which would require study of other fields, such as engineering or medicine - you can pretty much major in anything and still go to law school.

That all being said, I’d recommend looking into: English (obviously), history, political science, philosophy, foreign languages (you could be doing analytical-type writing in your literature or film classes within the foreign language department), classics, some film and drama, religion… really any humanities major and most arts and social sciences majors. Especially if you go to a liberal arts college (or colleges similar to liberal arts colleges), you will find that there’s a strong emphasis placed on writing in most classes - at least, that’s my take.
