Major?

I'm not sure which section to put this in...so i'll just put it here for now lol

I'm going to be a junior this sept. and i know i still have time to decide on a major, but i'd like to know what steps i should take when looking into majors.

Freshman year i signed up for Computer Programming but after two weeks, 60% of the class dropped it. I wound up taking "career appreciation" becaues i didn't have a choice after that, so basically i sat in the main office helping them file stuff and deliver passes.

Sophmore year I took Business Law I, which was a good couse for some legal background in everyday life, however i don't think i'd like to pursue majoring in Law.

Junior year I will be taking Business Law II Honors.

I only mentioned my elective courses above, but i'm also wondering, when selecting a major, should one have had elective courses in highschool to back it up?
Ex: CAD, CAD Honors, Tech and design for someone looking into engineering.

No, taking electives that pertain to you major isn't required. Many college freshman are still undeclared, and most high school students don't know what they want to major in.

I'm currently in engineering school, but my highschool didn't have any of the electives you mentioned, so I couldn't have taken them. Good calc and physics classes would give a future engineering major far better prep anyway.

so since i'm taking only pre-calc and physics senior year...should i rule out engineering?

No, if you take the Math IIC, it will show that your comprehension of math goes beyond what your transcript may say.

No!

Depending on the schools you apply to, you might be a bit behind if you haven't had calc yet, but it's certainly not a reason to rule out engineering as a major.
