Need some serious help..!!

Hi everyone..new here..I've got a few issues. Im a senior in high school and thus far have not taken calculus and physics..i guess those are two major classes. tho..i have taken like algebra, geo, trig and chem..but im thinking that is not enuff. so i am really worried about it. Also, im having a tough time deciding on which major i want take in college. im quite interested in information technology which has alot to do with telecommunications, computer networking..but am not entirely sure about it either. Engineering seems good too but again like i said, i have few probs with the math..So, i'd appreciate any kind of advise...i'll ask more questions later, these are just some basic things im having trouble with right now..thxx

i'm also a senior, I have not taken calc but I have taken algebra 1 geometry and algebra 2, and chem and physics. Go for what you like and what your good at....as for me I'm good with math so thats my major, I also have a intrest in physics, but I dont know if I'm getting a degree in that field. Go for computer or engineering. Try comp sci maybe you like that. Dont worry you can take physics and cal in college dont over do it in Highschool

thx for the reply Ryan...I guess engineering or computer science are very tough majors which require alot of math and science skills..i've always thought that i will have to be a genius to go into that field. Reason is that i did very good in geometry..but in algebra and trig..iwasn't very good although i did pass. But if i was to go into that, i would definately put in alot of time in college. What do u think?

If you have enough drive, you don't have to be a natural or a geneous to major in something in college. Sometimes, even being a geneous with drive won't be enough, but usually you can get by with some mental capacities and a lot of effort. Engineering is tough even for those who are skilled with math and science, but possible if you want to do it. How can you have an idea that you want to do it if you haven't taken calculus or physics? It seems interesting, considering you would be taking lots of classes in each of these subjects. For engineering, you would have to put in a lot of time, even if you are good with math and science.

Think about what subjects interest you and what you could study for some time over four or five years.

You don't have to be very smart or even a genius to major in engineering. Period.
I have seen so many people with medicore peformance on math and physics and still major in engineering. And they seem they are doing ok so far.
