Majoring in Nursing to then go to Medical School?

Is this something that a medical school would like/accept?

The only reason I would choose this major is because if i don't get in to medical school I can begin working as a nurse.

Right now my major is physiology & neurobiology but I have no idea what kind of job I can get with only a degree in this.

Wow that 2nd paragraph is poorly written sorry.

I would strongly NOT recommend majoring in nursing (undergrad) and going to med school afterwards. I am a nursing major previously on the pre-med track, and I quickly discovered that they really aren’t very compatible despite what one would think. Nursing and medicine may seem very related, but they are two entirely different tracks that have different prerequisites and require completely separate types of skills. You would also need those years that you are in nursing school to finish med school prerequisites and prepare for the MCAT. If you have your heart set on med school, I recommend putting your efforts into trying to get into med school on the first try, and if that doesn’t work out, perhaps enter an ABSN program.
