What do most students do as far as majors and minors? Is it better to double major or have a major and a minor? Should the second one be something related to your career or just something else you're interested in? Is it common or recommended to have a major and two minors?

depends…if you only need couple more classes for minor then its worth to get it.

engineering may be interested in math/physics minor.

math may be interested in economics/statistics minor.

…also many majors do not have many core classes and are filled with electives…these majors are good for double major.

double majoring is not feasible with majors such as engineering, but sometimes people do computer+electrical…

If your career choice and major do not have direct relation, a minor may help you.

The only time I hear of engineer major double majoring is industrial engineering and business. But most go for the minor.

I concur with the rest of what was stated. It depends. Some triple major, if they want.

yea reason i say that is because UF offers CE+EE degree, computer engineering electrical engineering @ 155 credit plan

seems doable and possibly worthwhile if you want to spend the year and have some sort of good reason

Since they canceled the journalism minor in budget cuts, I’m forced to double major in Journalism and Computer Science. lol ■■■.

usually the minor is related to the major.

I double majored in EE and CE. It was well worth the extra time.
