My EFC experienced a sudden and significant boost (support from outside sources). But I have already submitted my CSS Profile to 4 schools and have 16 more to go. Can I possibly make change to the Expected Family Contribution section in my CSS Profile online?
YOU do not calculate the EFC for Profile schools. Your college does so.
Are you saying that you got a significant boost as a scholarship? What exactly did you get? That makes a difference.
If it’s a scholarship, you need to notify the financial aid office that you received an award.
It it’s added income or a gift in 2016, I believe that will appear on the Profile for next year (and yes, I know you give an estimate of 2016 and 2017 income on the Profile).
But do call your college financial aid departments…and ask.
They will tell you what to do.
