I submitted my CSS a few months back, but my expected family contribution rose up unexpectedly. So if I mention the increased figure in the additional information section, will that be enough? Or will I still have to mail all colleges the corrected figures?
If you have already submitted your Profile, you cannot go back in and edit it to add info to the additional info section.

There’s a separate additional information section to detail changes in financial condition when submitting it to colleges!
It’s increased in the sense that my family’s income has risen in 2018 so they are willing to contribute more out of their own income
You do NOT need to indicate additional income and family willingness to contribute. I know there is a question about how much your family can contribute on the Profile…but really…that data point is not used to calculate your need based aid.
If your family income is higher in 2018, then that income WILL be used on the 2020-2012 financial aid forms.
