Anyone have any pics of those, by any chance? So I can get ideas for room layout and appliances I will need to buy.

Also, since I'll probably get a triple, how do I arrange the appliance thing? Will I need to contact my roomates and figure out who brings the fridge, etc?

I don't have any pictures, but I live in Yulee right now and can tell you a couple of things about them.

There are pretty much two room layouts. On one side of the hall, they're very symmetrical and straightforward. Two closets on either side of the door, then desks, then beds, and two dressers on the wall opposite the door (acting as nightstands, too). On the other side, they're a little different - wide, as opposed to long, and there are a few different ways to arrange things.

Why would you get a triple? They're nice once the third person moves out, but until then, they are terribly small - two of the beds are bunked, and in some of them, there are only two desks to share between three people. As far as appliances are concerned, contact your roommate and figure it out. You'll all want your own fridge. And I wouldn't bring a microwave - there's one to use in the common room, and if you cook anything in your room, it'll smell like food for hours. Also, be conscious of the fact that you are not going to have that many electrical outlets. We have three for the whole room, and one is inconveniently located behind the dressers (ie completely impractical to use). So that's one two-plug outlet each. Of course, you'll invest in some surge protectors and power strips, but it's something to keep in mind.

Also, I'm pretty sure you're aware of this, but Reid is the artistic music community dorm - forgot the exact name, but that's the gist of it. It's nice, but be aware that they have hours during the day/evening when people are allowed to practice their instruments. For the most part, it's fine, but when you're trying to nap/study, the last thing you want to hear is someone wailing on a clarinet two floors below.

Triples are bigger than doubles, so it's not just an extra person crammed into a room fit for two. I'm pretty social and value friends and I think it would be fun to have a 3rd roomy - I"m laid back about stuff like sexiles and clothes-borrowing, as long as it's all mutual and no one tries to take advantage of me. Triples are also cheaper.

That's what a temp triple is. I would actually pick a double first and triple, second. The default option is to put people in triples after doubles are filled. Also there are like 2 permanent triples per floor and 2-4 temp triples per floor. However, some people in the temp triple decide to stay tripled. Again, its up to you.
