Single dorm rooms at UF

Does anyone know how big the single dorm rooms are in the Yulee Area? I am trying to plan how much to bring for the fall, but since i have not seen an actual single room this is quite a challenge. Are most of the rooms roomy? Any input would be really helpful ! :)

As a good rule of thumb, only bring about 1/2 of what you think you’ll need. I brought practically everything I owned when I moved into the residence hall… and let’s just say it was a LOT of unnecessary clutter. UF Housing has a recommended packing list I’d check out: [Recommended Packing List - UF | Housing & Residence Education](http://www.housing.ufl.edu/prospective/packinglist.php).
I’ve never lived in a single, so I don’t know the room dimensions. But you can also contact the Yulee area desk and ask if they have any idea how big they are (352) 392-6101. I would e-mail the RLC too ayeshaRM@housing.ufl.edu. She’s super nice! :)

Have fun! You’ll love living in campus housing!!

I lived in Mallory Hall (Yulee Area) my freshman year, but I lived in a double. I have seen the singles in Mallory though and they are small, but I am not sure how much you plan on bringing. There is room on top of the closet for storage and also tons of room for storage under the bed. I have a single in Springs in the summer right now and it is small, but adequate for just one person I think.
