A couple years ago, a lot of kids were wearing the baggiest and thuggish looking clothing, with pretty bland colors.

Now a few years later and it seems like guys are trying to find the brightest and tightest outfits. Kids come to school looking like a pack of skittles or something with all of that light blue, pink, yellow, etc. It makes my eyes hurt. And then those skinny jeans...make me want to throw up. And then they complete the outfit with some hideous rainbow colored nike dunks that cost $200. C'mon man...

I mean, I'm certainly not best dressed at my school...but I can tell when something looks bad. What happened to a shirt and some regular jeans? I'm guess I'm too dull.

Is this phenomenon happening on the coasts too? I'm sure it is.

It’s happening in Idaho. I can tell you that much and it’s disgusting. Skinny jeans can be good–ON THE RIGHT BODY. Most people wearing them should have never picked them off of the rack. I hate guys in skinny jeans though. It’s disgusting.

I know a lot of Caucasian guys wore skinny jeans a long time before…but now even Black and Latino guys are wearing it, which I never thought would happen.

It’s because since guys see girls all over gay guys, they think 'I’ll dress metrosexual and that’ll help me get girls."

I don’t wear skinny jeans because I don’t need a male camel toe.

everyone wears skinny jeans here in nj. i absolutely love them, theyre the only kind of jeans i’d be caught wearing (wait do shorts and skirts count?)

as for bright colored things, i wear them sparingly. i’m more of a jeans + slightly flowy tshirt kinda girl. i hate sneakers … flipflops all the way, even though i hate my feet.

It sure is a great thing to see pretty girls in skinny jeans.

Not so much for guys.

Jeans and slacks should form around the leg but they shouldn’t grasp them for dear life…that’s just homo.

What’s wrong with bright colors? It’s been a trend for a while; perhaps it’s only getting more attention now. But I know that no one wants to live in a world of neutrals.

neutral! thats the word i was looking for. so yeaaaaah most of my tshirts are neutral color, assuming neutral means cream colored, grey, and suchh. but every once in a while i’ll step out in something bright!

florida’s got the virus. ;p
people that i stick around usually go for whatever style they favor though.
i love the fruity looking shoes. haha. … but maybe that’s my easily amusedness coming out again. =/
bright clothing, is alright, when it gets obnoxious, that’s painful. highlighter yellow was never meant to be the background color of a shirt, many people still haven’t come to understand that yet.
i wish i could slap some fashion designer person in the face to knock some sense into him/her. annoys me to bits.
florida’s had it since like the past year and a half though, nothing special really.

as for men, they look good when they dress classy. you can never go wrong with a collared shirt, it always shows good taste. ;]
guys here really haven’t gotten into the bright colors. they have gotten in with the skinny jeans, some of them. men in skinny jeans is just odd, it sickens me to see a man in them. B Man couldn’t have stated it in a better way "Jeans and slacks should form around the leg but they shouldn’t grasp them for dear life…that’s just homo. "
it is pretty homo. furrealzz.

I think skinny jeans and all hit socal a while ago… and I agree it doesn’t look good on everyone. But personally, before that, it was all this flared jeans and I have come to the conclusion that most people don’t look good in those either, unless they’re tall and pretty lean. Then again, those type of people look good in pretty much anything.

But, I doubt the skinny jean craze is going to go any time soon.

Oh for the love of Jesus, don’t refer to THAT particular trend as fashion. D:

I likewise see nothing redeeming about boys who wear skinny jeans and obscenely colored ‘ghetto’ shoes. FITTED jeans, a la all of freaking Europe, are perfectly fine with me though. In fact, I highly recommend that all of America take a look at how Europeans dress.

Oh and btw this trend has been on the West Coast, or at least Southern California, for a good 4-5 years. But within the last 1-2 years the boys who used to wear baggy clothing have picked it up as well.

Likewise on the East Coast. And it was probably going strong in China two years before it hit here, just because that’s how these things work haha.
