Hello people!

Its been several years since I've been back on CC and its bringing back old memories. A big 'HOLLA' to the CC crew of 2006!

Back to business, so much has changed. I moved to a big city to finish undergrad. Graduated with two undergrad degrees. Worked professionally for a year. Got married (though I like to downplay this one lol) and well I'm back in the south for round two: MASTERS!

So I'm aiming for a Masters in Information Management Systems. I needed a challenging field, where job security was positive. I had enough of that with my sciences majors. I learned a valuable lesson after graduation, business or bust!

Anyways, I am currently working on a few business pre-reqs and plan on transferring to a public university here. I have a few simple questions and was wondering if anyone could answer them:

1) GRE! I plan on taking the GRE in June. I was wondering how long it took you to study for that? Or rather, how much time study time would be adequate. I'm afraid I wont have enough time since I'm taking other courses at the same time and my grad application deadline is July 1, 2011!!

2) FAFSA! Its been a while since I have done that. Stupid question, but do Grad students apply for FAFSA too? Can they/Should they?

3) Letters of Recommendation! How do you guys approach your professors for one? I mean, for me its been several years and I doubt some of my professors would know me. How do I apporach a past professor via email? Should i scan my transcripts and resume to them in the email so they can get an idea of who I was and what I did?

4) GRE Waiver! How can I obtain one? Is it even possible?

5) I need a laptop! I heard Lenovos are pretty good for business students. Yes, no? I'm not a fan of the glossy screens and glossy laptops that leave fingerprints plus the glare really irritates me. Its hard to find a new laptop on the market that doesnt have that. Any suggestions?

So those were my questions for now. Sorry for inundating you guys with so much here. I hope I'm making a productive choice by doing MIS. Was interested in Law for sometime but been getting a lot of negative feedback on that i.e. legal market too saturated.

Thanks in advance! Keep it kind.
