Hi all,

First post here.

I initially did Management Information Systems Major but withdrew after 3 years in the program due to some problems at the time.

I have worked since then and have moved up the IT ladder 3 jobs in 6-7 years. I am looking to move more into Management and Business jobs instead, and eventually try to do an MBA. I only had about 60 hours of course work so will still have junior and senior years to do and get a high upper level GPA.

I guess I am at the point where my skills alone have pretty much hit the ladder out for making 50k without even a degree.

I am planning on taking Political Science at a top 20 public ranked school with a minor in Economics and a minor in Philosophy as well.

Unfortunately my initial GPA was lower than a 3.0 ... which is what the business schools I was looking at require to get in at the undergrad level. Though not sure they are necessary.

I am hoping this career move will allow me a lateral movement into another department, especially with a strong bachelors now, work about 4-5 more years in that area and then pursue an MBA.

How does this look? I would appreciate any advice.
