Next year, I am going to be a junior, and I am beginning to consider classes. I have kept all straight A’s in all of my classes so far, but I am struggling in my Honors English 10 class and I am barely holding on. At my school, in junior year, the only options are AP Lang and Standard English. I am really tempted to drop down to Standard, as I am afraid tha AP Lang will not go well for me, but I am afraid that it will negatively affect by chance at getting into a prestigious / Ivy League university. I was wondering to what extent not taking AP Lang would affect my college application, and if it is the right choice?
