Hey! So I’m a rising junior and school is about to start. I was just reviewing some of my class choices and I’m taking 3 AP classes for sure (Econ, Chem and APUSH) and I’m debating whether or not to take AP Lang. I have a perfect unweighted GPA so far and I’ve taken AP Euro and AP Bio in sophomore year. The reason why I’m cautious about taking AP Lang is because, first of all, I don’t really enjoy English as a subject. Secondly, last year I took advanced english, and I managed to eek out an A. I really want to have time for sports and friends and other extracurriculars as well 
What do you guys think?

Do what you WANT don’t do something cause you think admission officers want to see this
tbh I’d only take it if the teacher was easy
If you do not think you’ll do well in higher level English and if you do not have an interest in it then don’t take it. What woud be the point to take a class you do not like from the start and end up with a grade that ruins your perfect GPA. You do not have to max out on the highest level of each subjects. I had a friend in high school who was outstanding in math, took the most advanced math classes, and loved the subject. But he hated English and social studies subjects so he took the less advanced versions. He’s now at Berkeley. Manage your sanity.
Don’t take it if you don’t think you’ll do well in it- no sense ruining your perfect GPA for a class you’re not even interested in.
