Manhattanville?

I would welcome information about Manhattanville--the CC forum for it is very inactive. It is one of the few small schools in the NYC area. Princeton Review speaks very highly of it, but I have heard some less positive comments. No one from our high school has ever gone there (or mentioned it) so it is hard to assess.

Thanks

I can only speak to the campus though the couple of graduates I have worked with liked it there.

The campus is located in a wealthly suburb of New York, really a suburb of White Plains if that makes sense, and is especially safe. The buildings are older but there is a nice looking new student center and personally like the small self-contained campus. The college seems to have made progress fund raising in recent years and I believe the past or soon to be past President stablized its finances.

You should check to see if there are shuttle buses to the nearby trains if you plan on going to New York City as I don’t really think you can walk to much of anything from campus.

thank you very much

OP - DD was very impressed with Fordham.

thanks very much

My co-workers son plays basketball for an LAC around me and his team plays Manhattanville. He convinced his parents to go to their game up there so they could see the basketball stadium. Apparently it’s pretty unique and intimidating for the away teams. Even though my friends son’s team was ranked quite a bit higher then Manhattanville, they lost.

Thanks. Manhattanville is 70% female–perhaps the visiting team was also distracted looking at the stands?
