Many Choices, Help Me Choose?

Please pay no mind to my previous post.

If the tuition for Cornell is cheaper than NYU's, I would seriously consider attending Cornell. But, I would consider it only if that were the case.

And, I agree with yaron in terms of ranking the public U's.

Also, have you considered Babson/Stern+Columbia (it's a new program they have at NYU) as a graduate school after Cornell? That combination may work out wonderfully.

Thanks everyone so far, the well thought out posts help me a lot.

Cacjr,

Babson/Stern+Columbia? What is that? Sounds cool.

I say UVA because its 20k less expensive than NYU but it still has a great business program. Plus the fact that NYU has no campus and doesnt really have a great college experience. The reason why i dont like Mich too much since you have to apply to the business school after freshman year and its fairly competitive to get in. Cornell AEM is very strong and should be considered as long as you get good aid.

USC all the way! (no really, though, i think you should do an overnight at as many as possible and then decide. no one can tell you how the college makes you feel)

Sorry, by Babson/NYU+Columbia I meant Babson or NYU+Stern joint MBA program. However, I was wrong. It is Columbia and Berkeley that have a joint MBA program (<a href="http://www.berkeley.columbia.edu/)%5B/url%5D">http://www.berkeley.columbia.edu/)</a>.

Still, Babson has a stellar entrep. program. Many of my older (24 and older) friends have done the MBA and really enjoyed it. One of my current friends had a father who taught there.

Columbia Berkely sounds good also, I will check that out.

Bobbobob,
As I posted before, I have been ACCEPTED to Ross-BBA after a year of LSA, I am a preferred admit. This may make it worth the $40k? I think maybe. UM sounds way more fun than UVA also. What do you all think.

hey i have a friend at uva right now and he loves it at that price you cant go wrong, although personally I have my eyes set on a place like stern, because of the location and great oppurtunities regarding ibanking

I would go to Cornell, UVA, Colgate or Colby over NYU (especially for that difference in cost). To me, NYU is the least collegiate experience in the country; I don't understand how it's gained so much popularity. NYU has no campus, community feel or school spirit of any kind. Also, in my IB analyst class (which granted was a few years ago), there was only one person out of 70 from NYU-Stern and any top 20 NU or top 20 LAC was more highly regarded than NYU. Also, what's AEM @ Cornell? Is that the architecture school? Anyone I know from Cornell that went into IB all were from A&S.

wow! quite impressive...
try making a list of which you like best...and if u cant decide, come to UVA, well meet there..haha
bye

what part of the country would you rather live in? do you mind being far from home?
