hmm i put entangled but im not sure what the correct answer was

In response to whoever wanted to find the experimental sections by POE...

There was a math section with a straaaaange question accompanied by a diagram with three stacks of pails...or buckets, whatever. It said that the height of the stack was determined by 2n+8, where n is the number oif pails in the stack and where n is greater than one (note: not greater than or equal to; GREATER than...made no sense to me, but...)

And the question pointed at the third stack (which had the labels a,b,c,d,e on it) and asked, "What is the number 2 in stack 3?" The figure was not drawn to scale. That was a strange, strange question. Anyone else have it? I think it was in an experimental.

This was my essay prompt:

"Is creativity needed more than ever in today's world?"

Also, what was the answer to the pinniata question?

There were different essay prompts!?

I don't recall that math question, but what about the one with the 5 gallons of water and 2 1/3 being filled after 8 hours?...

I got the creativity one, but wish I had gotten the majority one..I LOVE history and politics and that's a great topic to talk about..aww the majority...

yea, it was worse for us on the west coast. our creativity prompt was a bit unorthodox

I dont remember the answer to the water pump pumping in and out, but I do remember the trick on that question: for the pump pumping water out, they gave you the rate per TWO MINUTES. Not rate per minute.

Yes. I remember that one. 2 1/3 is what I recall the answer being anyways. I checked it several times on my calculator, just in case, and it checked out.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!? TWO minutes!?

Hmm...I can't even remember that clearly. I'm going to trust that I was sane and fully conscious when I did that question and that I did it correctly.

Majority rule is appropriate in the area of government in the U.S. The governement in the U.S is a democratic-republic where the majority elects officials to make the decisions on how to run the country.

This is ironic. I used the US gov as an example of how majority rule is not to be used in government. I mentioned what Henry Adams said in the Federalist Papers No. 8, I believe, in which he contrasted the republican form of government against the democratic form. Clearly the forefathers distrusted the opinion of the majority and placed limits on the power of the people.

I am also worried about that one math problem. The one with how many right angles are formed on a cube. I can't believe it said edges, because I calculated the vertices, and got 24. But some of you remember it said edges and still got 24 as an answer. How? Wouldn't it be 12 then?

I'm also going to trust that i was sane and fully conscious when I did that question and that I read it correctly............

I really thought it was two minutes, because I stopped in the middle of working on the question and re-did it because I found out that it was 2 minutes.

it was 1/3 for god sakes

I think it might have said angles (per) edge, because when 2 edges meet, they form the right angles; I am pretty sure the answer was 24.

I also put 24..I think it said the #of 90 degree angles of a cube...cube=6 sides....one side has 4 right angles; 4 multipied by 6 = 24!

its definetely 24

each vertex = 3 right angles

3 right angle per vertex * 8 vertexes = 24 right angles

.,.
{}

The only problem is, the question didn't ask how many right angles are formed at the vertices. It asked how many are at the EDGES. Two planes make an edge, and one right angle is formed there. There are only 12 that way.

I put 24 and I think I might have gotten this wrong.

so, anyone know what score I would get on math if I got 3 wrong total? i know no one knows for sure, but is it possible to get an 800 still?

I think even with one wrong 800 may be unattainable.

So what's going on with the AIM chatroom? Is it still there?
