I think I put that too... Not sure... It was either that or something else.

dualityim, I put the same thing about the woman being diminished.

I fourth it as the correct answer.

I put diminished too. I thought all the options were pretty terrible, but that seemed to be the best one.

Questions like the "diminished" one go to show how subjective the SAT is...

I guessed we all had similar feelings toward that question.

Wouldn't it be funny if in the end ETS has to throw out like 10 verbal and 8 math problems because this test is so new and they don't know what they are doing?

ahh, duality, we can only hope...

Hope all of you guys do well on the test; I am just glad to have finished it after taking many practice tests and test prep. Augh, I now know that ETS makes millions upon millions of dollars through their torture of us students. Ah well...hopefully we shall see how we all did soon.

Does anyone remember that sentence correction problem where it was saying

"Paris differs from other cities, such as London and New York, in that its shopping districts are more widely spread out."

Something like that... What was the answer? I wasn't sure if "in that" was correct, but I put no error.

Caedar, "in that" is correct, and I believe I marked that sentence as correct.

i put widely only bc spread implies that and its wordyness

was the elixar one which someone said was motivation, that wasnt' the answer with archaelogy in it was it? cuase i thought that would make ti the trick answer

For that question about the stamp collectors and the average I think it was 85. Here's how I reasoned it. X is like the sum of the collections besides those two numbers (those numbers were 55 and 80 I think, I forget). So then ((X+(55+80)) / (10 collections I believe) = 80. So then you replace the 55 and 80 with those new numbers and I got 85 as the avg. But I'm not exactly sure I forgot the specifics of that question.

the elixer=motivation answer belonged to the question for Macchu Picchu and the Incas

I see what you mean, but I still put no error. It may be redundant, but it's not technically incorrect.

I put no error also...take the part away that is inside the commas...the sentence makes sense with "in that"

according to my prep books, redundancy is considered an minor error, but still an error =/

widely spread is only an adverb + adjective construction, i really dont see any redundancy

deus.ex.machina -- That's interesting. I didn't think it would count as grammatically incorrect, but you may very well be right. (I hope not!)

dualitym and all,

Has the ETS ever really done that? Thrown out questions because so many people got them wrong? I know some AP questions aren't used, but then again, those exams don't have experimental.
