March 2009 SAT scores

Holy cow - CR curve was harsh! -2 was 790. I really wasn’t expecting that harsh of a curve, considering how hard everyone thought it was. Looking at the past curves, the curve has never been that harsh. Give me my 800!

Bahahhahahahaha. Excuse me while I post these ~wonderful~ scores.

CR: 600. -15
M: 580. -14, omit 2.
W: 590. Essay: 8. -11.

What?! -2 for CR was 790? I got -3 and received 750.

I got 100% on the sentence completions! I wasnt expecting that because I know I guessed on about five of them haha. As for the reading passages, I got an easy question wrong. -.-

CR: 590
M:790, -1
W: 700. Essay:9,-4

I have a question,
if there are 49 questions on the multiple choice, then why do they give you a score out of 80 on the MC?

Was anyone else sure they answered every writing question and suddenly found they had OMITTED 3 QUESTIONS?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?

Wait, so we don’t get the questions on the online score report? Lame.</p>

That CR curve is pure evil. And the math question I got wrong was “medium”. Another careless mistake.

The Writing curve is realllly harsh.
12 essay and 5 wrong = 730. ■■■.

Do they really not post the actual questions you got wrong, or am I just having trouble finding it?

They posted the actual questions and answer explanations for the PSAT… :/

CR 710 = -6, no omits (split evenly between sentence completion and reading passages)
M 700 = -5, no omits (missed three in geometry, so he knows where to focus)
W 790 = -2, no omits, 12 essay (And it was really good! Was delighted to see it. Pulled in examples from current events and his econ classes and was very timely/relevant.)

*** - I love how I get the hard CRs right, and COMPLETELY bomb the easy and medium.

M seems to be generous this time. Got 7 wrong - 4 omitted and ended up with an 640. Weird.

And yet again do I need to hardcore study Sentence Errors. I can improve sentences, amazingly. But I can’t identify the problems. The hellll.

CR 750 = -3, no omits
M 720 = -3, 1 omit
W 780 = -1, no omits, 10E (I missed an EASY question - what the heck!?)

I got 60 correct 7 incorrect for CR and got a 690. =)

I got 47 correct 7 incorrect for Math and got a 680. =(

One question in reading and maybe 2 in math… I missed 3 easy and 3 med Q’s. I would have gotten a 700+ in both sections… hmm… =(

I have a question,
if there are 49 questions on the multiple choice, then why do they give you a score out of 80 on the MC?

–>Writing section I’m talking about here,

I got 45/49 on the MC but got 69 out of 80!? wutttt

CR: -1 -> 800 (wow i was surprised. b/c i knew i got a sentence completion wrong but i totally thought i messed up on the indian programmer passage… i really lucked into this one)
M: -1 -> 790 (one gddamn question… ugh. and it was an algebra functions one…)
W: -1 -> 77 subscore; essay 11 -> 800 (haha i reread my essay and it sounded like total bullsht to me…)

anyways i’m satisfied. no way am i retaking the sat ever again…

oh a fun fact about my school. so i got 800 on CR… and my percentile compared to my school was 80%… i guess 20% of the people in our school get 800’s on CR…

xiaohyolee,do you go to some Critical Reading school?

Is that even possible!!??? I thought it was strange that my 790 Math put me at 98 percentile for my school, but that’s just crazy. How accurate are these percentages?

Maybe he just goes to a competitive school.

lol my school is private and the average score in each section is just 530. In case anyone thought rich kids were smart…

hahaha your school maybe just makes stuff up
