it was 1/6? for the shaded triangle?

the shaded triangle part wasn’t experimental

^yes. Asked for probability of drawing a SHADED TRIANGLE. and you were given SIX wonderful shapes that were shaded/nonshaded, triangles/squares/circles. And all of them were unique (did not have a duplicate).

yeah it was 1/6th. or did i misread it :(?

for the graph of f(x) being shifted up two, the answer is clearly 8. I don’t understand why people ■■■■■■■■ it asked for the difference of the Max of the new f(x) and the Min of the original f(x). Max of f(x) was 4 so Max of f(x)+2=6. Min is still -2 so 6-(-2)=8. next time people should read the question

^It asked for the difference between the max and min of G(x). They want to test if you know that adding 2 to the equation shifts it upward and doesn’t affect mins and maxes.

needhelpnow123, the problem said the difference between the maximum and minimum of the NEW graph. I read it like 10 times. It’s 6 , for sure. sorry.

@needhelpnow123 the new min is zero. new max (6) - 0 = 6

it asked for the (max of new f(x))-min of original f(x)

There was a question that gave several numbers, and I believe it asked for the first term after providing the fourth and second term.
The answer I received was -11. However, my classmate thinks they were asking for the second term, in which case the answer was -4. Which is it?

6th term was 24, 4th term was 10

I’ve heard the acceptable range is 2.5-4.5 for the question asking you to solve for a, with the area of the triangle. Can anyone confirm this?

@sp1095 they asked for first term, which is -11
@needhelpnow123 read the question carefully? i literally checked that 5 times. It asks for new min.

@Yet: Thank you for the confirmation!

ugh i must have been going too fast and skipped the “shaded” part. I thought it just said triangle. sucks because I thought i had gotten all the questions right before that -____-

Try underlining and circling important parts of the question.

@jimes You’re numbers are correct, I think. I put down 3, which is a correct answer.
Triangle has a length of 4.
5<area<9 ?
5 < .5(b)(4) < 9
5 < 2(b) < 9
2.5 < b < 4.5
^I didn’t do that on the actual test; just tried a number, grid in, moved on.

@Lanayru, I put 3 as well but was just making sure because other people seem to have gotten higher values

So can someone confirm what the answer is to the graph shift difference one was (f(x) -> g(x))?

@numbers

I am just coming in and remember it as 6. I read it a few times I remember because it was a few sentences and I ALWAYS reread those because I don’t want to miss anything.

for the triangle i put 2, any chance that fit into the range

@francesca

It had to be greater than 2.5 but less than 4.5
