***March 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

I really don’t want to argue so I will concede for the time being.

Ay, okay, I really need to decide whether or not I should cancel. Can someone help score me? Thanks in advance!! :)

-5-7 CR
-1 Math (also predict for -2 also please? There was a question that I remember doing correctly, but everyone on college board said the answer was A and I didn’t think I bubbled that D:)
-1 Writing, 10 E

Sounds good. Im not trying to be annoying/confrontational, I just strongly believe in my answer lmao

Also, was the answer of the one question in the plastics passage about whether the plastic raincoats, plates, toys, etc was to “evoke disappointment” or “trace a gradual decline”? (whoa sorry for the terribly worded question!)
I wish it had said “trace disappointments” :frowning: the word “evoke” made me feel like the answer choice implied evoke [from the audience/reader] and I threw a fit over that XD

Evoke

Also you’ll probably get ~2250.

haha, ok, dangit. Mind explaining it?
also, assuming worst, -8 CR, -2 Math, -1 Writing and 9 E, where would I be sitting? XD Would it be under a 2200?

did anyone have/know if this was experimental…

the CR with the guy who didn’t like his job and there would be like a normal question then the question that immediately followed was a question saying which line in the text best supports the previous

THANKS

“Gradual” is what made that answer wrong I believe.

And yeah you should still be above 2200 if the curves are average.

Okay thanks @DAIMYO!
Also, I’m convinced that I had an experimental math section that wasn’t the physics one, whichever one that was O_O
Did anyone have a question that was like, “Circle C has its center at Point C at (2,1) and a radius of 5/2. Point A is on Circle C, with coordinates (a, 3). Point B is also on Circle C, with coordinates (b, 3). What is the area of Triangle ABC?”
^That’s the only question I remember distinctly on the math section XD

^was that experimental, or am I just going crazy?

@DAIMYO Actually, gradual decline is correct. Toys are breaking throughout the year but companies are unable to fix them. They declined, and the damage was done. Plastics lost their reputation. “Evoke” disappointment will do nothing to further point. This is a very ambiguous question. I hate these types of questions.

Majority think its evoke.

The answer choice I believe was evoke specific disappointments, which is exactly what the author was trying to do. If the answer had been gradual decline, then we would have gone from simple disappointment to complete failures with regards to the uses of plastics. However, all examples given were trivial and everyday failures of plastic, leading the answer choice to be “evoke specific disappointments”.

It’s almost as if the author was trying to “help” us recall the various failures of plastics by using vivid examples like the raincoat, the umbrella, the Christmas toys, etc.

Guess we’ll have to wait until March 27th. I hate ambiguous questions like that. :P

did anyone have/know if this was experimental…

the CR with the guy who didn’t like his job and there would be like a normal question then the question that immediately followed was a question saying which line in the text best supports the previous

THANKS

I hate to ask again, but does anyone think that my math section was experimental? D:

@janedoeee11 There are giant docs talking about many questions being repeated on here. Your section is experimental.

Sorry, I saw the one that was public that was made on Saturday. But I didn’t want to request access to the private one. Someone should seriously just make a collegeboard public google account XDD

Looking through this, I probably got a 720/790/800; math, writing, critical reading.

2310

6 omit math, 0 wrong.
2 wrong writing 1 omit
2 wrong critical reading

What do you guys think -1 math will be? I’m leaning toward a more lenient curve, maybe 790 or 780.

My prediction is that -1 will still be a 800 @Foolish. Some of these questions were really worded weirdly. I have 1 omit and 1 wrong. I’m predicting that I get a 760-790.

I got 2-3 wrong on CR and 2-3 on Writing which can still get me a 2300, right?

10 on the essay…

I think a -1 might get an 800, this math section was much harder than January’s. I think got -1 too so I’m really hoping the curve will allow an 800 for -1
