because plastic is tangible? have you never touched a plastic fork?

I have a quick vocabulary question.
Was one of the answers attain? I think it was about a writer who was widely praised by the general public, but she ____ critic critiscim and improved her work. Was it attained? Thanks guys!

^no, I think I put “aspired for” or something along that line? I’m pretty sure the answer wasn’t attained because she wanted critical success even though she had public acceptance.

longed for

Oh okay, thanks, yeah I had no idea what that sentence wanted, which makes me very sad since I knew what all the words meant

hi guys!! I’m taking the SAT for the second time in June, first time was March but I’m a little nervous about how I did on the math grid ins. I took the exam with math grid ins either in the first or second math section, can’t really remember. Does anyone remember what some of the harder grid ins were? (Like questions 15, 16, and 17?) I think those were the ones i got wrong. thanks for any help!!

Reading all of this is making me uneasy :(

Anyone remember the CR questions that followed the short passage about the playwright/artist/photographer?

One of the answers for a question was “his works were criticized” and another was “he put a lot of effort into his work.” Anyone remember what they put for this question?

For the Bijah passage, one question asked, “Which question, if correctly posed (?), would challenge the writer’s ideas?” The wording may be different, but you get the idea.

I put “Why was Elijah not in Deerfield?” Others have said, “Why did his family not have expenses recorded?”
Any word on this one?

Also, does anyone remember the difference between “A” and "B’ for the Montenegro question? I had either A or B, and I remember that I changed by answer at the end. I think I ended up with A.

Finally, the telephone question. I put “has revolutionized” because its past perfect. It indicates that “telephones revolutionized” happened before cell phones. The alternative, “revolutionized,” seems to leave the events without the proper context in time. Anyone have any thoughts on this one?

Thanks!

@Tman1005
Playwright/Artist/Photographer - I think this may be experimental
Bijah Question - Why did his wife and kids not have recorded expenses even though they were still in Deerfield? (pretty sure that this is the correct answer, since most of the Google Docs and previous posts say it is)
Telephone Question - has revolutionized
Montenegro Question - Was definitely A, I think it was had been joined or something like that

Hope this helps!

Did anyone pick point out disparancy for the fourth paragraph of the Bijah passage? and if i got 6-9 wrong on CR, 1-3 wrong on math, and 1-3 wrong on writing with a 10 on my essay what do you guys think my break down would be around?

revolutionized without had

@indianboy2400

I am sure that it was not experimental. I am probably wording my questions incorrectly, but my experimental was an ACT-style writing section.

Also, why would it be “has revolutionized” if it occurred in the past? Has could indicate the present, but “had revolutionized” would indicate that it happened in the past. Is there any reason why “had revolutionized” would be wrong?

Also, what about the CR question with “egalitarian beauty” or something like that. Was it lamp or newspaper?

Thanks!

@DAIMYO

Why no “had”? Past perfect tense makes sense here, because after telephones came cell phones. Revolutionized could indicate that telephones still exist as the predominant technology…

Main clause was present, no need for pluperfect

@DAIMYO It’s “had”. Pluperfect was needed as identified by the myriad of people that put down "had.

For the Bihar essay what was the purpose of the last paragrahl? Was it provide an ongoing explanation, summarize something, or note a discrepency… I put summarize

Bijah*

While I adamantly believe that the answer with had was incorrect, pls stop bringing up that question. It’s clearly unresolved and if you lazy people read back a page you would have seen others say the same.

The “egalitarian beauty” question was the lamp one if I remember correctly.

@Lanie49 I put that too cause u know well it was kind of like the ending and it was talking to like how they came to concensus but me and you are probably wrong lol…the majority of the people put ongoing explanation including @Hawkace

The myriad of people was wrong I guess
