***March 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

ok do the scores come 5:00 eastern time or 5:00 western time…

College Board gives the official time of 8am, but according to a bunch of people its almost always 5am. Perhaps someone has insight as to why this is… Is College Board located in California or something? Maybe they don’t want us waking up early to check

Note: I edited my last post, it no longer references the question from that section directly… thank you for your responses

Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone

EDIT: @SimplyOverdone I’m sure you’ll make it, good luck! Yeah I’m really interested to see how the curve goes… hope its good  by the way this was my first test.

Ok, guys. Since everyone is nervous, I’ll tell you what will happen.

AT 5:00 AM EST, the scores will come out.

reading and writing PLEASE be nice…need at least 2360 !!

While I’m pretty sure I did well with Math/Writing, I erased on my answer sheet a lot. I made sure to make darker marks over my official answers, but I’ll probably have to fork over the $50 just in case. Regardless, best of luck to all!

Having already received my scores from my counselor, I can promise everyone that the Math curve will be quite generous! A friend got a 790, which means -1 is only 10 off, and so on.

How in the world does your counselor have the scores!? How was your CR and Essay?

@lepatron Can you make that same promise for Reading? Not going to lie, those sections were pretty tough.

Was the reading curve generous too? At least better than Jan’s

@lepatron When you say -1 is 790 and so on, you don’'t mean it will be 800 790 780 770 760 750…etc. I think that would be way too generous. What would you say 4 wrong and 3 omit would be??? Thanks

does anyone want to mention something about the curves for reading / writing, which most thought were more problematic(well that is if you know the curve lol)???

OMG, freaking our right now.

Last time I got 2210 (800M, 760CR, 650WR, 9 Essay)

This time I’m hoping for (800M, 780CR, 740WR). I studied writing sooo hard. That telephone question, though, has got me worried. Also, my essay was only 1.5 pages, and only used 4 “strong” words. Do you all think that means I don’t have a shot at a 10?

@RunningForLife I also want to know the curves. But I think the curve for reading will be generous, that test was terrible, it looks like Math is pretty generous and for writing, I think it will be similar to the past tests. Writing did not seem too difficult, but not too easy. Good luck

To anyone that received their scores early, was the reading curve generous?

@XerexXerex: yeah i agree… this was arguably the weirdest reading test I’ve ever taken lol. Writing was quite difficult IMO, mainly b/c of that payphone question haha
again, if any1 knows anything about the reading curve please share!!

Feels like the night before Christmas

The coal in your stocking would be like getting under 2300 lol.

<2340: lots of foul smelling coal
2340-2370: nothing inside stocking!
2380 or 2390: a present!!
2400: …!!!

Hey does anyone mind me asking why everyone is worried about reading? Like why is reading a bad side of the test for most? I’ve always been great at reading and writing, and horrible at math.

Hi All.

I got my scores early because my counselors posted them on Naviance today.

My scores were 800 CR, 710 Math, 750 Writing with a Nine Essay.

In January I received a 800 CR, 740 Math, and 670 Writing with an Eight Essay.

My thoughts for the curve for tomorrow’s release: CR will be mildly generous, a few touch vocab coupled with the Bijah passage likely made this test’s CR section a bit difficult, so I would expect a bit more lenient. Math will absolutely be a nice curve. With -1 790, I would expect 800, 790, 760, 730, 710 to be the curve. For writing, I had a 9 essay with a (75) MC Writing Sub-Score. Ended up with a 750. Writing will probably be a normal looking curve.

Overall, it seems there will be a nice curve on this test. A few friends who I’ve talked too got 2280, 2320, 2300, all with a nice small curve. Should be good. Best of luck to all tomorrow!
