***March 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

one of the math questions asked how many angles are less than 90 degrees. is it 4 angles?

@pretzle729 Lol it was a typo! 590 on Writing, 630 on math lol >.< Idk what to think of this SAT though.

I got four angles because if one was 120, then another one would be 120 so that’s 240, and for the whole thing it was 360 degrees so the remaining four angles were split up over 120 degrees

@bKramer04

7/19 as well. That was an unconventional question, but actually pretty doable.

I originally put 7/19 but I saw remainder underlined, so wouldn’t she have 19/7 the distance that the first dude had :-/

Did anyone get $2.88 for the math question about buying things on sale?

I got 5/13 for the grid-in about three kids going to school. I remember the times they spent traveling: they were 30 mins, 60 mins, 65 mins. And they all got there at the same time.

Also was it 0.30 for the 1/2x question?

I got a 240 on the PSAT but I don’t think I did that well on this SAT. I absolutely hated the Critical Reading about Bijah, was hoping that was experimental- omitted a few and made educated guesses. I think I did well on math and writing though (more No Errors than I thought)

Does anybody remember the 1/2x problem exactly?

Wasn’t it like 40% off $4.00 and then another 10%?

I forgot the question, but I know I got it right.

Did you guys get 4 no errors on the writing? (#'s 18, 21, 24 and 26 i think?)

I got $2.88

If you can message me what critical readings you had that’d be awesome. I had four and i’m trying to figure out which was supplemental. Thanks.

Wait, was the answer to the ending of the cold war

was likewise historic: an agreement
or was it
was historic, and an agreement

You do know for the Grid in about the three kids it was A+B+C = 40. (One for each kid) and that B= 2A and
C= B+5. Or something like that. A = 7 B = 14 C= 19 so it would 7/19 since it takes 7 minutes for A to get there and C would technically need 7 minutes left to reach the school at the same time.

Yeah 1/2x is .3 for 1.5<x<2.5 since .1, .2 were greater and .4 and .5 were smaller

The 6 angles with one with 120 is 4? because of Vert angles I think…

@assiduous yeah i got 2.88. $4.00 - .8 - .32 i think? It was 20% and then 10% off the sale price???

Man i missed two math problems :/

Hey guys! I just took the SAT for the first time today. What do you mean by “experimental”? Thanks so much!

@UCschoolsftw It was 20% and another 10% from the sales price. It was $3.(i forgot the amount of cents) I think

@fr0zenfury

$2.88 can’t be the right answer? The sale was by 10 percents, and the second percent off was from the original sale price???!?!?

1) What was the answer to that smelling answer passage…? How did Turin feel about the views expressed in paragraph one? It was like overwhelming, dramatic, inadequate. The author of the passage said that Turin thought that the views were “wrong.”
2) What would the author of passage 2 come to disagree with (something like that). The answer choices quotes specific lines from the text. I put something super sciency about molecules or w/e

For the bijad passage, did you guys get deepening mystery and to explain more (smething like that, it was talking about the purpose of the last paragraph)?
Oh, and what would further substantiate the scenario? I put A. I changed my answer from deed to the land to something about cost/labor.

for the passage about plastic, what is Francle’s attitude towards plastic? I put reverence. people are saying it’s excitement but I dont even think I saw that on the exam.
What does the example about “children waking up with broken plastic toys, plastic garbage bags ripping” primarly serve to do? It was either provoke a sense of disappointment, or to show a gradual decline. I put gradual decline because the sentence right after it talks about how things turned around in the 1950s and the quality improved… not sure?

For the questions about acupuncture, what were the main differences between the two passages?

I think i did horribly on the reading… I was scoring in the lower 700s on practice tests but damn, today was rough!!

@dn4144

That looks about right for the NE. I got four NE for sure.

Also, was the one about “scientists claiming something about the canopy unfounded” NE?

Did anyone have a critical reading section written in old english about a guy who disliked his job?
