Who knows what the math experimental was like for today’s SAT. I had questions with long paragraphs and a lot of graphs
It’s been a few years since I took the SAT, but I’m guessing the math sections with lots of reading and slightly different topics are experimental for the new SAT.
I got a math experimental section, and mine had a conductor diagram with four problems concerning resistance, voltage, and current. Kind of strange, but interesting. There were also lots of conceptual questions, like which one of a set of scenarios best described a linear relationship (was it a person who hiked 3 miles a day or someone who doubled their money every year and so on). Also, there was this massive wall of text describing a study about fruits and vegetables.
@Terraform Is it possible to have 2 math experimental sections because I didn’t have any of those questions, but that sounds experimental. Mine had tons of graphs and question about standard deviation so I thought it was experimental so I didnt try as hard on it.
was the math section with the standard deviation (the 24 hour pill), and the daily high and low temperatures for cities b and a, and the decibel measures change, experimental?? HELP
Yea I had that same section too^ I barely tried on that section so it better be the expiremental. I think it was because it was as different from the other three math sections. And I had 3 25 minute math sections.
Is it possible to have 2 experimental math sections?
No it’s not ayang.
I had the test without the experimental section. The math was extremely easy… easier than any practice or real SAT I’ve seen, which was weird.
I think there was a mistake on one question though. Cannot say much other than it had a non right triangle, long side, and <<<, if you know what I’m saying.
I got the writing experimental section.
And I’m positively sure that that is the experimental section because it was formatted like the ACT test like having one long passage to read and editing on the side. And i got 25 minutes for 18 questions. And there was two chart on the experimental section…
Those are probably for the new SAT that’s coming out.
@nfsox98 wait so are you saying I had the experimental math section because I’ve never seem those type of problems.
Yeah I think that different people get different experimental sections, even of the same category. Kind of makes sense, as CB wants to test out a lot of sections so they wouldn’t just use 1. It seems like there are 3 or 4 different math experimental sections per test for those who actually get a math experimental, judging from the official sat threads.
@thesmartkidd I had the same test as you, didn’t realize it was experimental but the chart questions were odd
@ayang9824 yes, if you had standard deviation and whatnot
