@premednyy which radian formula? You mean arc length?
@Joboko Likely so, but I don’t have time outside of the day before to prep.

@CharlotteLetter i think its called the radian formula? I know a circle equals 2 pi radians but whats the formula for converting degrees to radians?
@premednyy degrees = 180radians/pi or radians = pidegrees/180
(so 90 degrees = 180(pi/2)/pi or pi/2 = pi90/180)
I’m scoring around 1460 reading seems to be a problem for me. I miss around 7 a section
How does everyone expect the curve to be? More lenient because it’s the first test with the new format or less?
@premednyy Complaining about a 1360/1600 and you’re a sophomore? Wow, when I was a sophomore, the SATs were the least of my worries
anyone else taking the test tomorrow? My school has it Wednesday March 2nd
@buffalo11 I hope the curve is lenient. I wonder if the college board thinks the students who take the test this saturday will be a biased sample. What i mean is the ones who take the first redesigned test will be the ambitious ones. If so, the students taking the test on saturday won’t represent the true population. So I wonder if they will give a percentile like they did on the psat - “this is your percentile if everyone your year took it.” Regardless, I’m hoping that my son breaks 1530, which is equivalent to 2300 I think. It should be 99th percentile.
The good news is that College board kicked out all of the testmakers and tutors. They’ll have to take it in May. It looks like CB wants just 17 year olds and younger to take it. So no ringers messing up the curve!
I slightly disagree with your previous comment. Many high school students (juniors) have no choice but to accept the new test if they hadn’t taken it in the 1st half of the year, so i think that the sample will be very evenly distributed. In terms of the curve and due to the new test, I think we really can’t make any predictions. But good luck with your son breaking 1530!!
Just took the March 2nd SAT earlier. In my opinion, it’s a lot easier than the old SAT and I was able to spend the extra time I had to go back and check my answers. The writing section was nowhere as hard as the old version, if you would call the old version of writing hard at all.
@wishhhh Had exactly those.
For those that have taken it, how do you think you scored?
I think I probably got 1-2 wrong on the reading section and about the same number wrong on the math section with calculator. Pretty confident that I got every question on the writing section, but there’s always a possibility that I made a stupid mistake somewhere.
I wonder if people who are taking the test on Saturday have the identical test
@Mellifluous How was the test compared to the blue book practice tests?
Does anyone know why the test was administered on a Wednesday? I thought SATs were always on a Saturday.
@ilovemypug if they did, I would die. I took the January makeup on February 20th and then my friends had the same test on February 27th. I’m still in shock.
@buffalo11 some states have in school administrations of the SAT now so that’s why they’re on a wednesday
so in relation to the actual sat u took today, how hard are the blue book tests?
^ @wishhhh
the test was pretty easy although there were the usual couple reading questions that throw you off. It is weird to see how this thread has little test discussion as many kids took the test today, I was kind of hoping to see the answers other people put to see if they matched mine.
