<p>I had a 2160 SAT, 3.8 UW GPA, a few clubs & some community service, one big EC commitment, extra creative writing, a few school awards, and great recommendations from both teachers and my counselor. I think what hurt me was not taking a ton of AP/honors classes (because we moved around a lot and missed sign-up deadlines, classes were full, etc.), though I did explain that at my interview (which I'd thought went pretty well, but I guess it was nothing special). And well, my dad wanted me to apply early for the academic scholarships, and I listened against my better judgment... meaning my essay wasn't as polished as it was when I sent it out to other schools later.</p>
<p>I'm probably not going to come back to this forum much, so once again, good luck everyone! Scripps is a super nice school if you have the chance to go. :)</p>
