Boom! Shots fired lol
Guessing you’ll get into CMC, Northwestern, and CMU. Possibly Brown.
I’m definitely thinking that you get into CMC, CMU, Brown, and UCB! I also see Northwestern and WUSTL advancing!
Love this idea and am following along, though I won’t submit my picks. Love this as an example of out-of-the-box thinking! You have some great choices!
@hungryteenager & @emenya
Haha. Love the enthusiasm.
@CE527M & @lbad96
Your picks are noted. Hopefully, there are no crazy upsets this time around.
@GnocchiB
Thanks for the support and compliments! You don’t have to make picks to follow my journey. Be sure to bookmark my thread and see where I end up.
Probably one of my favorite threads on here Good luck with everything!
@thanksagain
Thanks!
(Again :P)
I hope that you stick around!
I’d probably say you’ll get into Princeton.
Kentucky’s so damn good they’re gonna win even though they aren’t in your March Madness. You’re not only a cinch to get in, but you can apply your projected majors to engineer horses to guarantee economic gain.
**Update #4: **
What is going on? I’ve just been rejected by Northwestern. I’m starting to lose hope now. I don’t know what I did wrong. Anyway, one of my top choices is coming out this Wednesday. If I get rejected at Claremont McKenna, I don’t know what to do anymore. Northwestern would be incredibly expensive, but I’m sure that I could find a way to pay for it. Too bad I won’t have the chance.

@Hawkace You didn’t do anything wrong, it’s just the way it works sometimes and I know you know that. It’s their loss, and I know you’ll do fantastic at whichever school you end up at, whether it be Rutgers or UM or anywhere.
@CE527M
Thanks for the comforting words. It’s just that I set standards for myself and those standards are tumbling down. Oh well. I have 6 more decisions waiting for me.
I’m currently 5-1-5.
now not to worry! I was one of the few people left in the country with an intact bracket last week (yes, I chose both Georgia State and UAB in the first rounds) only to have it busted last Friday…and you are seeing the same…I’m going to advance 2 of the Ivys to the final round for you…hmmm…back shortly with my vote.
I’m sorry to hear that @Hawkace . It really is Northwestern’s loss. But cheer up, you have most of your decisions and I’m confident you’ll get into where you were destined to go.
Rooting for you man
Oh man. I’m really sorry about your rejection from Northwestern, dude. Just know that any school that rejects you is the real loser. You’re gonna be a superstar wherever you end up, whether it’s Case Western or Minnesota or Rutgers.
Don’t beat yourself up. You seem like a well-rounded applicant with great stats. You will be an asset at any school you go to and that place will be the luckiest in the world to have you in their community!
I’m joining the game. I’m guessing you will get into UCB, Brown and CMC. Rejected from Princeton, Harvard, and CMU, sorry.
I think you’ll end up at Rutgers or CWRU.
@TheDidactic
Thanks! Don’t worry. I expect to get rejected from all of the Ivies. Hopefully, Brown will see something in me.
My spirits are uplifted once again. Thanks, everyone! Next up is my number one college besides Brown: Claremont McKenna! Check in on Wednesday to find out my results.
Update #5
The losing streak continues. 5 straight rejections. Another one form my top choice, Claremont McKenna. I don’t know what to do anymore. I gave it my all the last four years. I studied hard to get a really high ACT score and a high GPA. I have passion in everything I do, but it’s not enough apparently. I lost all hope. If I get rejected from every other college (which is most likely the case), I’ll probably go to my state school and transfer. These rejections just sting, because I know that I’m just as smart if not smarter than my friends who are going to Ivies, but I didn’t apply ED due to finances… Is there any sliver of hope left for me for the rest of my colleges? I’m going to talk to my guidance counselor regarding these rejections. I don’t know what’s happening.

Hang in there @Hawkace . I know that the rejections hurt (I was also rejected from MIT and NU), but try to focus on the schools that you’ve been accepted to. They’re not exactly shabby institutions, and will have plenty of Ivy-caliber students (you know, since not all of them will be accepted at or afford to go to an Ivy). It’ll work out.
Yes, @Hawkace, keep thinking about the schools you’ve been admitted to. Perhaps, focus on one of those at a time and learn about what are the ways those schools fit you. Then, towards the end you’ll know which are your top choices. It’s been a really tough year and your hard work throughout high school and make you who you are today!
