March SAT Math Thread

what were the other answer choices for the root 15 question?

Does anyone know the answer to x/5=4 what does x/10= I put 1/8 but now I see it probably 2

^thisisauser: I remember the equilateral triangle question. I’m pretty sure I also put 30 as the answer.

The two similar triangles with the length of a particular segment - I think that was experimental.

^somead: I think it was 1/8.

Jersey listed: 9 is the difference of similar triangle perimeters.

What was the question for this? Was it experimental? I don’t remember it.

choice III was x+y or x-y , eitherway choice 3 didnt work

Nope, I don’t recall ever seeing a pentagon.

IF YOU HAD A PENTAGON QUESTION, YOU HAD EXPERIMENTAL MATH STOP TALKING ABOUT IT, IT DOESNT MATTER thanks

I don’t recall a pentagon either.

Choice II was definitely (y-x)^2

x+y or x-y can be negative if x and y are both negative.

@candescence I got 4 but it was experimental so no big deal.

I believe I got II only for the (y-x)^2

yes (y-x)^2 was the rights answer, but i forget the question. I think it asked which one has to be positive or something like that

@kamikaze612

yes 15 was one of the answer choices

i got that one wrong i think?!! i didn’t know there were x’s (thought it was 2 x 3 x unknown)

@somead896 it was 1/8. And the pentagon one I got 140 I think (540-90-100-100-110) but apparently it was experimental too.

Does anyone recall a question about knitting and somehting about 30 in X 30 in?

there was a question with a triangle inside a triangle. it said quadrilateral ABDE area was 1 and find the area of traingle BCD.

answer: 1/3?

knitting was experimental. The experimental section obviously was weird, but I didn’t have it and no one should care about it anyway.
It was asked nvmmmm.

was the section that had the circles as the last grid in with line RT = 1000 experimental?

What was the answer to the triangle one, when there were three midpoints and one triangle inside of another, and abde quadrilateral had area 1, what was the other triangle’s area?

wait so knitting was experimental?

yes^… Can we make a separate list for experimental questions. I may not be able to remember questions I did have, but I know those I didn’t have. It’s probably late for the list on page #40/41 though. :P
