108 is the fourth term in the sequence of multiples of 3

"Was multiples of 3/108 one of the first couple questions then? "

Yepp. Maybe in the first math section that I had. It was like a number 2 or something.

im predicting a raw -6 wrong…hopefully that is around 680

for the problem of remainder divided by seven, you have the answer of 1 is the remainder,

the question said the remainder of x is 5, then what is the remainder of x+3…
5-3=2 not 1
somebody was 2 the answer? thats what i believe

no it was 1 lol…

so does anyone know what a -6 raw would be?

For the last grid-in, I put 4/2. will they accept that as an answer? i did that b/c it was y-3/2 so 4/2 - 3/2 = 1/2

@ems4106: just think about it. if the remainder of x is 5, adding 1 would give it a remainder of 6, adding 2 would give it a remainder of 7 (which cancels out the remainder altogether). so adding 3 would start a new “cycle” or mod which gives it a remainder of 1.

@btown: I’m not exactly positive, but I’ve read that the answers must be in simplest terms.

Wasn’t the question about (x+y)^2 and y is less than x and it gave you three options a non-experimental question? Why isn’t the answer (II only) posted on the list of answers?

K - 4 is answer for (x-4)(x+4)

anyone remember the question for that ^

and i swear i had a math experimental, but i don’t remember physics/chem venn diagram, pentagon…

do any of you remember a question that was like find akh in y = a(x-h)^2 + k or something like that? i don’t see it on there

and there was a question that was like find the value of k when the equation doesn’t work for x or something

were those experimental?

alihaq: I believe it is.

Wuchu: Yeah I believe that section was a math experimental. I’m so happy I didn’t get a math experimental. Waste of effort.

^ I don’t remember that question :/

what is it asking?

I got a math experimental, although I don’t remember any diagrams or pentagons. I actually thought it was a fun section- the last question was really challenging (about magazine subscriptions) and I like doing math problems anyway so it put me in a good mood.

so n0va that question is experimental or is it already posted on the consolidated list?

I just read that fractions don’t need to be reduced as long as they fit into the grid. Man I hope so! I don’t know why they wouldn’t accept 4/2 as an answer for 2. It’s the same value!

btown: Answers have to be in simplest form I believe. If I were you, I’d just accept that it’s wrong until the score reports come out.

if that’s true then good, cause i didn’t answer a question in that section lol

anyone remember the question to k = (x-4) (x+4) or whatever

alihaq what’s the question about (x+y)^2? I don’t remember having that question (or maybe I just forgot).

the answer is k-4

I’m pretty sure that fractions are acceptable.

thrill: It was one where they gave you three roman numerals and you had to choose which was correct.

It was the question that told you y was less than x, and then it said “Which of the following must be true”: And gave you three choices. The only correct choice was (x-y)^2 (II) and the other two were wrong.
