When I submitted the Commonapp I marked that I’d be submitting a supplemental arts portfolio. I have until midnight tonight to submit any work, but I’ve changed my mind and decided not to. Do I need to contact the admissions office and let them know? Or is it not worth the bother?
No, don’t bother informing Admissions, as they will know after midnight tonight that you didn’t submit one.
@gibby could there be any negative impact on my chances because I said that i was going to submit an art portfolio but ultimately I chose not to?
No, I don’t see it having a negative impact. An art portfolio is something extra, something most student’s don’t submit, so Admissions will judge you on the required elements of your file just like the vast majority of other students.
